A similar compliment from me; good to see Nottingham Clarion riders entered. Wishing both Jessica and Anthony successful rides.

As you are aware the National Championships had to be rescheduled due to adverse weather conditions on the original race weekend. The promoting club (Long Eaton Cycles) and our District (Central) did an amazing job in rescheduling the Championships in an already busy calendar.

It meant it was the Bank Holiday weekend and an early start for both the Ladies and Men. We were rewarded with stunning weather and the course was the quietest I have ever known it.

After a very early start to the day, I was the first lady on to the course once they had sent the Juniors on their way.

I managed to clock a new course PB and overall PB, knocking 17 seconds off my time, ending up with 01:01:01 Very Happy (and the title of Age Group Champion)
It was worth getting out of bed for at 'Very early o'clock'

Unfortunately, Anthony was still on holiday and could not race.
