What a wonderful day to break sweat in the Vale.

Three intrepid members of our parish started this event this morning and all finished really well and apart from John, in one piece.

A tremendous effort saw Will take 3rd place overall - big Kudos.

John & Neil finished well up the field and in the top 30 (I think).

I have attached some of the picies I took today - Well done you three.

Thanks for the pictures... You caught my pavlovian cyclocross bike-carry over the 'hurdles'! Results photo below: 'swim' = run 1.

It was a nice morning for it. Decent result all round I'd say. Plus it raised 2.5K for Stathern school to spend on sports equipment.

Awesome effort by Will on his first ever duathlon, well done mate.

Great result for Neil's first too in his first and on the back of marathon training! I love the cyclocross skills on show in that photo Neil.

I was happy with my effort. Dodgy ankle didn't cost me too time on the runs and was no bother on the bike.

Thanks for those that showed up to support us.

Here's selected results from the 128 finishers:
1st: Benvenuto Baldelli: 1:07:53
3rd: Will Nuthall: 1:08:48
15th: John Odell: 1:16:14
18th: Neil Mansfield: 1:17:53

Cheers for all the advice John! I was knackered after the first run!

I'm not sure about the transition times as mine look almost impossible to replicate!
